Shirley Kevil of Sun Prairie Reviews:Death is a Bargain
by Nora Charles
I find this story interesting as it’s about the circus. Who abused the elephants, Edna and Edgar? The tiger trainer brings his cat Fluffy from Moscow. Billy is the little boy who enjoys circus life.
Three people were murdered– maybe the killer wanted to prevent proof of the mistreated elephants from arrives at the Humane Society? Dead are Whitey Ford who was electrocuted, and Carl Krieg and Freddie Ducksworth who were both shot. Why did Freddie receive a blackmail letter? Did Jocko, the clown, shoot Carl in the sword swallowers bed?
The famous Cunningham Circus located in a center ring complete with a big top smack in the middle of the flea market.
Sean the clown wears a wild red wig, funny hat, a huge glove and large feet. Most vendors at the flea market lived in their vans.
This is a good “who done it” set against the backdrop of the circus.

Holiday Outlook
The turkey is a memory;
the pumpkin pie’s all gone.
It’s “fare-thee-well”
To cranberries—
Thanksgiving feasting’s done.
We barely catch our breath;
The Christmas season bustles in.
It’s shop and wrap and bake and plan;
We’re busy once again!
Still, we surely wouldn’t
Have it any other way.
We’ll sigh and rush and suffer stress
Right up to New Year’s Day
